Our role
neabur connects people with small businesses operating inside societies and gated complexes. We help buyers discover products and services, and give businesses a place to present their offerings. We are a discovery platform. We do not sell the listed products, deliver orders, provide the listed services, collect payments or act as a party to the transaction.
Information you share
When a business requests access, we collect its category, business and owner names, owner mobile, business WhatsApp number, city, society and sector, along with the email and account identity supplied by sign-in. After approval, owners may add a catalogue link, operations timings, delivery or service availability, relevant qualifications or achievements, past experience, offerings, prices, quantities, discounts, tags, business hours, a cover image, a business location and optional FSSAI licence information. Visitors who review a business share their name, sector, date of business, rating and review, linked to their sign-in identity. Visitors can also rate individual products or services once per signed-in account. We retain a submission marker to prevent repeated shop reviews even after moderation or deletion; offering ratings contribute to the cumulative shop score. Our Contact Us form collects your name, email, mobile and query.
What other people can see
Approved business pages show information intended for discovery, such as the business name, owner name, city, society, sector, WhatsApp contact, catalogue, hours, owner-provided qualifications and experience, and any optional licence number supplied. Approved reviews show the reviewer’s Google name, sector, date of business, rating and review. The Google email and account identifier attached to ratings and reviews are private administrative records; they are not shown to businesses or visitors. Owner mobile numbers collected for administration, sign-in email addresses and contact enquiries are kept out of public listings. Please avoid putting private or sensitive details in public descriptions, reviews, images or linked catalogues.
How we use information
We use the information to review business requests, publish approved listings, let owners manage their business pages, moderate reviews, respond to enquiries and operate the platform. We record clicks on business WhatsApp contact buttons and show business owners a seven-day count. The count measures contact-button clicks; it does not tell us whether a message was sent, an order was placed or a sale happened. We also use limited submission information to reduce spam and repeated contact-form abuse.
Location, device preferences and sign-in
Location access is your choice. If you enable it, your browser supplies coordinates so the page can sort businesses by distance. Visitor coordinates are used in the page for that purpose and are not submitted to our business database by the discovery feature. Owners may separately choose to save their business coordinates for nearby discovery. You can change location permission in your browser. If you complete a business request before signing in, its draft is kept in this browser tab’s session storage so you can return to it. The draft is removed after a successful submission. Google sign-in shares your name, email and a stable account identifier so we can authorise access. We verify Google identity tokens on our server and store a secure session cookie for up to seven days. You can sign out from the footer. Business approval remains separate from sign-in. The administrator may retain platform sign-in access for site management. We do not ask for or store your Google password. Admin accounts use email usernames and salted password hashes, with Google verification for password recovery. Temporary admin passwords must be changed at first login.
Direct contact, payments and external links
When you use a WhatsApp button, share a listing, or open a linked PDF catalogue, you leave neabur or open another service. Those services have their own privacy practices. Information you then share with a business—including your address, payment details or private conversation—is handled directly between you, the business and the services you use. Make payment arrangements directly with the business after checking the details. Never share passwords, OTPs or unnecessary financial information in a message or enquiry.
Authenticity and your discretion
Both businesses and buyers should check who they are dealing with before engaging. Buyers should confirm availability, quantity, quality, pricing, suitability, delivery or service terms, and refund arrangements directly. Businesses should check buyer authenticity and confirm payment before fulfilling orders where appropriate. Listings, owner-provided licence numbers, tags and reviews are information to help discovery; their appearance is not a verification, endorsement or guarantee by neabur. Use your own discretion.
Platform responsibility and disputes
Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and for the products and services they offer. Buyers and businesses are responsible for their own dealings. neabur does not guarantee authenticity, quality, safety, availability, payment, delivery or the outcome of a transaction. We cannot promise to prevent fraud, loss, non-delivery or disagreements. Raise transaction issues directly with the other party, and tell us if a listing or review appears misleading or abusive so we can review its presence on the platform. This notice does not limit rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Access, storage and retention
Access to owner and admin areas is restricted through account authorisation. Operational service providers support hosting, sign-in and file storage so the platform can work. We keep submitted information for as long as it is needed to maintain listings, handle enquiries, moderate content and meet applicable obligations. No online system can promise absolute security. Owners can update their listings in the dashboard. For a correction, removal or privacy request concerning information you cannot edit, contact us with enough detail to identify the relevant record. We may need to confirm your identity before acting.
Your choices and updates
You may decline location access and use the sector or society filters instead. Optional business fields can be left blank. You can ask us about information you have shared or report a concern through Contact Us. Please do not submit unnecessary sensitive information or another person’s private details. We may update this page as the service changes; the date below identifies this version.
